I do paint 'Formal' Oil paintings from sittings, some are shown here, but most are for people who want a portrait of a loved one painted from their photos....

Only a few paintings are expensive because they have taken a considerable time to paint paticularly if they involve time away from studio in travelling, and if they have detailed, specific backgrounds, however I enjoy visiting peoples homes to paint the portraits, I usually find the subject of the painting is far more relaxed and natural in their own familiar setting, and it is nice to include the clients home suroundings house or garden in a portrait, paticularly for a family portrait.

But there are many reasonably priced oil paintings shown on the 'Oil Paintings' page and other pages, these are painted direct from photos, I hope you find something to suit you
